Inner Compass

Privacy & consent

This page explains, in plain language, what Inner Compass collects and how we use it.

What we collect

We store quiz answers, timestamps, an anonymous session id in a cookie, optional email or social-login identity, optional free-text notes, and a coarse browser language. We do not ask for your name.

How it is stored

Data lives in a PostgreSQL database hosted in the EU or a region you configure. Sessions that stay idle for more than 30 minutes are marked paused. You can leave without sharing contact details; those sessions are kept as anonymous product analytics only.

Personalized follow-up

If you share an email or sign in, we may use your responses to write a personalized result and email it to you. That processing happens on our side. Internal scores are not shown in the quiz and are never passed to advertising platforms.

Marketing opt-in

We will only send reminders such as “come finish your quiz” if you share an email and check the marketing box. That consent is separate from taking the quiz. You can ignore the box and still receive a one-time result email.

Cookies and tracking

Essential cookies remember your quiz session and language. Analytics or advertising scripts (including the Meta Pixel) load only after you accept optional cookies or check the marketing box. Essential-only is always available.

What we never do

We never send quiz answers, scores, or pattern labels to Meta or any ad platform. We never build custom audiences from inferred psychological state. If you choose “No thanks”, we do not fire the Pixel and we do not link any ad identifier to your stored session.
